To celebrate the completion of a new mural along Elk Street at Glen Canyon Park, Glen Park Beautiful hosted a community celebration in the park. The community was deeply involved in the mural’s design. Neighbors provided input in two meetings and participated in painting the mural alongside artist Sirron Norris. The celebration event featured Supervisor Rafael Mandelman who awarded a certificate of honor to Sirron and commentary from representatives from San Francisco Recreation & Parks. Residents and visitors gathered to hear the speakers and share in appreciation of the artwork and connect with each other.
