Building on the success of the inaugural SF Stairway Month in 2024, organizers offered three walks totaling an estimated 125 flights of stairs.  The walkers saw the vistas and hidden pathways of Russian Hill and Telegraph Hill (and during pauses were treated to highlights of the city’s history by SF City Guides), (2) met artists and community leaders and saw two tiled stairways in the Excelsior and Portola neighborhoods, and (3) for the signature “Truly Terrific: Tiled to Tiled Stairway Walk” walkers were again accompanied by the gifted artists who mesmerized all with stories of their creations. San Francisco’s First Lady, Becca Prowda, joined for the walk which ended at the Burnside Tiled Steps where Glen Park Beautiful hosted a celebration for the walkers and the 1st anniversary of the steps.
