With palpable community excitement, Glen Park residents and numerous city officials gathered in front of the Burnside mural, for a ribbon-cutting and first glimpse of the neighborhood’s newly tiled steps. A long line stretched along Burnside Avenue, with many eager to see the tiles bearing inscriptions they had composed to honor loved ones, as community members and supporters moved  slowly, tile-by-tile and step-by-step, to take in the remarkable transformation of the stairway.
