When you have a set of tiled stairs as beautiful as those on Burnside Avenue, they deserve a festive first birthday party! In October 2025, Glen Park Beautiful hosted a celebration for the first anniversary of the Burnside Tiled Steps. Neighbors were joined by over 70 participants who were just completing the specially designed five-mile SF Stairway Month "Tiled-to-Tiled" walk. All enjoyed live bluegrass music from Skillet Licorice, snacks, and a visual scavenger hunt for kids. Glen Park Beautiful was honored to welcome San Francisco’s first lady, Becca Prowda, who shared remarks about the importance of civic engagement.
