Major community art projects only happen with support and investment from the community. In February 2026, Glen Park’s own Bird & Beckett bookstore hosted a benefit concert put on by the Lowell Ensemble and organized by Glen Park resident (and oboist) Janet Archibald.

The program, “A Musical Tour of Glen Park,” was custom-created for this event. From the dynamite factory-inspired “explosions” to the “cool” finger snapping finale, it was an adventure that highlighted what’s best about Glen Park.
